Record starting field at Austria’s most famous Ultra-Trail: Mozart 100.
On 17 June 2017, the city of Salzburg and the regions of Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee will present themselves as the stage for Austria’s most beautiful ultra-trail. Mozart 100 combines the scenic beauty of the region with a challenging route. Mozart 100 is an experience for passionate ultra-trail athletes as well as for those who want to experience one of the most beautiful regions of Austria running or walking.
Since 2016, Mozart 100 has been part of the Ultra Trail World Tour, which includes the most important ultra-trail events in the world. «The Ultra-Trail World Tour as well as the extensive changes in the route have already resulted in 50% more registrations compared to the previous year» says Josef Mayerhofer, the organizer. More than half of the registered participants come from abroad, led by Germany and Great Britain.
The participants can choose from five distances and eight competitions for runners of all performance classes:
– mozart 100: 105 km, 4.500 m elevation gain (+)
– Scenic Ultra: 60 km, 2.090 m (+)
– Scenic Marathon: 42,5 km, 1.510 m (+)
– Scenic Light : 30 km, 1.160 m (+)
– City Trail: 12,5 km, 296 m (+)
The field of top male athletes is led by Csaba Nemeth (HUN), Daniel Oralek (CZ), Alexander Rabensteiner (ITA), the female favorites are Francesca Canepa (ITA), Simona Morbelli (ITA) and Sally Mc Rae (USA). All relevant information about the race is available at www.mozart100.com.
